This book is, in a word, magnificent.

Discussing the series with someone who is reading it for the first time, I positively gushed about Neville Longbottom. This individual, having only just completed the fifth book, had yet to fully appreciate his import. I cut short the conversation because I feared revealing too much.

I began to wish that I too were spending the waning weeks of summer vacation reading the entire series of books from start to finish, even if it would not evoke in me the same curiosity and enchantment present during my initial discovery of J.K. Rowling’s wonderland.
