Words like “paradigm” and “derivative” are fine but their overuse can make a gentleman appear haughty.

The vernacular of any group in which a gentleman might participate assuredly provides the words necessary for discourse appropriate to the situation. A gentleman adjusts his language accordingly.

Additionally, incorporating “pint-sized” and “son of a gun” into his lexicon adds color and novelty to a gentleman’s statements.
