How droll.
Skepticism about reelecting former Senator Bob Kerrey derives not from his liking of New York City but the obvious opportunism of a celebrity politician who left the state quickly enough when reelection would be a challenge and returned when its political climate was more favorable to his candidacy.
(This is coming from a modern gentleman who loves New York and anticipates voting for him.)
